Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: 12 October 2026
Raw Segment is free to read and carries no advertising. It is paid for by affiliate commission, and a reader deciding whether to trust a page should know who pays for it.
The arrangement in one paragraph
Full Life studio s.r.o., the publisher of this site, takes part in an affiliate programme for one product: Crossout, the game used as the worked example throughout the course. If you follow one of our links to it and go on to create an account, confirm your email address and sign in, the network operating the link pays us a commission. You are not charged anything, and nothing costs more because you arrived through us.
Where the affiliate links appear
There are five, and only five, places where an affiliate link appears.
- On the home page, in the section explaining where the product appears and why.
- In Step 1, after the paragraph on the vehicle-combat genre.
- In Step 2, in the section on operating system support, where we also say a Mac rules this title out.
- In Step 3, in the section about what you are agreeing to at sign-up.
- At the end of Step 5, where a reader who has decided to proceed would act on it.
Each carries a plain line beside it saying it is a paid affiliate link, and each points at the destination address itself, visible in your status bar on hover — no local redirect, no hop through our own domain, no script that changes where the link goes. There is no hidden advertising of any kind.
What commission does not decide
Commission does not decide what this course says: not how many steps there are, what each covers, which cautions appear, or how strongly they are worded. Two places make that testable. Step 2 tells you that if you own a Mac this title is not a candidate and you should stop rather than look for a workaround — advice that costs us the commission in exactly the cases where it applies. Step 4 tells households with children not to buy randomised items at all, and tells everyone to spend the first month buying nothing.
Commission does not decide which product appears either, but it is why this one does. We did not compare a field of titles and pick a winner; there is no ranking, scoring or review here. The course needed one concrete example from the genre, and the one named is a product we have a commercial relationship with. That is also stated on the About page rather than buried here.
What does decide the content
- The order a beginner meets the questions: the arrangement, the hardware, the account, the money, the first session.
- What can be sourced. Anything about Australian classification, scams, privacy, security or consumer rights points at the body responsible, because that is where the current version lives.
- What the vendor states. Everything said here about the named product comes from the vendor's own description; where the vendor is silent, we say so.
- What we have not tested. No benchmarks, ratings or scores, because we have run no tests.
What we do not do
We do not describe the course as independent of commercial interest, because it is not, and we do not present affiliate links as neutral recommendations. We accept no payment to add a caution, remove one, or write favourably, and run no sponsored posts, paid reviews or advertising slots. We also collect nothing from you: the network reports conversions for payment reconciliation, we do not seek information identifying readers, and this site sets no cookies. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Reading the course without the links
This is the test we hold the site to: remove every affiliate link and the course should still be worth an afternoon. Step 2's hardware procedure works for any game, Step 3's passphrase and phishing material for any account, Step 4 for every title in Australia, and Step 5 across the category.
Your rights as an Australian reader
Misleading or deceptive conduct in trade or commerce is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law, and that applies to how a site like this one describes itself and what it links to. If you think anything here is misleading, tell us at info@rawsegment.online; you can also read about your rights and report through the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Trademarks
All brand names on Raw Segment, Crossout among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Raw Segment, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.
